Ann Benson provides direct services to families and caregivers seeking help for their child’s substance use or addiction and also co-facilitates the organization’s weekly online support community meetings. Ann became involved with Partnership to End Addiction as a peer parent coach in 2015. The following year, she expanded her role into training parents in her state to become peer parent coaches and has served as a parent coach mentor. Ann also facilitated parent/caregiver skills-building workshops in her community. In 2016, she shared her personal parent story at the Partnership’s annual gala.
Ann volunteers in her local community with Parents Helping Parents, a nonprofit that supports parents struggling with substance use in their (adolescent/adult) children. This volunteer organization is now part of a national family support roundtable of local nonprofits created by Partnership to End Addiction.
Ann is also a licensed architect. For three decades, she was employed at The McKinney Partnership Architects in Norman, Okla. where she served as a senior director.
