The Partnership’s Sean Clarkin recently received the Leveraging and Collaboration Honor Award by the Food and Drug Administration at the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) Honor Awards Ceremony. Janet Woodcock, M.D., Director of CDER, presented the honor. The award was the first of the awards given to the Office of Communications (OCOMM), and commemorated Clarkin’s involvement in the Search and Rescue Opioid Prescriber Education Campaign. He was notably recognized for his support in developing the extensive, evidence-based opioid prescriber awareness and education campaign.
“It was great to have the Partnership’s work on our ‘Search and Rescue’ prescriber education campaign recognized by the FDA,” Clarkin said. “This has really been a team effort: at the Partnership; with the CEDR Communications group at FDA; and with the strong support of our agency partners at Razorfish Health. All of us feel strongly that prescriber education is key to ending the opioid crisis.”
