Up to 10 fellowships will be awarded to individuals working to improve community life in Baltimore under the Open Society Institute's 2010 Community Fellowships program.
OSI “hopes to encourage more entrepreneurial individuals to join the public and community service fields and to promote initiatives that will empower struggling communities to improve the quality of life for residents,” according to the program announcement.
Each fellow will receive $48,750 over 18 months; individuals can apply solo or under the auspices of a nonprofit organization.
Application deadline is March 15. For more details, see the full RFP on the OSI website.
