    Media Planning Manager (Advertising)

    We are looking for a proactive integrated media planning manager to oversee our donated media strategy and operation across both traditional and digital channels. This critical role will serve our mission by expanding the number of families we reach and engage in ending addiction in our country. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the successful candidate will have experience and a demonstrated track record in developing media plans and managing client relationships.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify and develop relevant media profiles by media channel
    • Develop and recommend media plans serving organizational, campaign, grant and marketing goals, articulating the proper allocation of paid media in our overall marketing mix
    • Oversee and implement search engine marketing (SEM) strategy in collaboration with external partners
    • Develop tests in underutilized channels, including SMS, digital radio, podcast advertising, etc.
    • In collaboration with external relations and partners, proactively manage established relationships with dozens of major print publishers (magazine and newspaper), traditional broadcast outlets (national, local, cable), radio outlets, OOH partners, and relevant digital content publishers, while managing regular distribution of creative to same
    • In collaboration with external monitoring partners, maintain documentation of creative running in-market and eliminate outdated inventory
    • In collaboration with finance, oversee in its entirety the media monitoring process as an input for the financial audit
    • Collaborate with other internal channel managers on the marketing team to support development of media plans that grow and deepen engagement of email, website and social media audiences
    • Oversee digital storage vendor
    • Oversee AD-ID development and ad tracking
    • In collaboration with analyst, track and report on ROI of media against organizational goals
    • Track on trends in media usage and advocate for shifts in media mix based on same

    Requirements:

    • 6+ years’ relevant work experience/specialized education, with 3-5 years of media planning experience across multiple channels
    • Strong relationship management, collaboration and communication skills
    • Command of media and marketing metrics and associated best-practice costs against them
    • Comfort with data, measurement and analytics
