The White House proposed budget for FY2018 will reportedly cut spending for the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) by 95%. Resources to address the opioid epidemic are needed now more than ever. ONDCP provides critical coordination of the federal response to the drug issue and essential programs such as the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program and Drug Free Communities program.
