Parents who suspect that their kids are using drugs can now rent a retired drug dog from a Chandler, Ariz., woman to help sniff out evidence, the Phoenix New Times reported April 13.
Amy Halm and her dog, Dargo — operating as “Desert Drug Dog” — will come into the family home and conduct a search for a fee. Dargo formerly worked for a police department in Indiana and was adopted by Halm after being retired.
When Dargo finds evidence of cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine, or other drugs, Halm places a sticky note to indicate the source, then leaves it to parents to follow up. Halm also offers Dargo’s services to businesses and schools.
