President Barack Obama laughed off a question on drug legalization from a student during a recent forum at Lehigh Carbon Community College in Pennsylvania, CBS News reported Dec. 4.
One of four questions taken by Obama at an economic town-hall meeting was whether drugs and prostitution should be legalized.
“I appreciate the boldness of your question,” said Obama. “That will not be my job strategy.” The reply drew laughter from the crowd.
Obama continued, “First of all, part of what you’re supposed to do in college is question conventional wisdom. You’re doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing.” However, he never directly answered the question.
