ASAP is pleased to work with Join Together and NCADD to present a series of Statewide Leadership Training Institutes in NY. Through these trainings we hope to engage new grassroots leaders who will work to increase access to addiction prevention, treatment and recovery services through improved policies and legislation and through enhanced funding.
The consequences of untreated addiction are paid for by not only by the individuals struggling with addiction, but the burden also falls on society through costs incurred in the healthcare, child welfare and criminal justice systems. Now is the time to close the addiction treatment gap by seeking adequate funding for prevention, treatment and recovery support services and by improved legislation and public policies.
Invitation to Apply
You are cordially invited to apply to participate in a free one-day Leadership Training Institute. The Institute is for anyone who is concerned about alcohol and other drug addiction and wants to do more. A distinguished faculty of state and legislative officials, executives and experts will provide the information you need to enhance your advocacy skills so that you become empowered to make a difference! (*CE credits are available for those renewing their CASAC, CPP or CPS credential.)
