The ABC, CBS and Fox affiliates in New York have rejected ads seeking public support for a medical-marijuana bill, the New York Daily News reported Sept. 17.
The ads from the Marijuana Policy Project call on voters to urge lawmakers to support the measure sponsored by Assemblyman Richard Gottfried and Sen. Thomas Duane. They feature testimonials from patients who have used marijuana to ease chronic pain.
The state Assembly has passed the bill but it has stalled in the Senate.
The ads have run on WNBC-TV and on cable.
