The U.S. Department of Justice' Office of Justice Programs will award $900,000 in grants for adult drug court planning and training. Up to eight grants are expected to be made; funding comes from the Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program.
The program has two components: the Adult Drug Court Planning Initiative assists jurisdictions in the planning and development of new drug-court programs, while the Adult Drug Court Training Initiative offers a menu of training options to access and incorporate into local, regional and, statewide drug-court training events.
Nonprofits, schools, government entities and others may apply for funding.
Application deadline is March 26. For more details, see the grant announcement online.
