Marin Institute extended the deadline for their 3rd annual ’Free the Bowl’ video contest until tomorrow, Jan. 27, at midnight. First prize is $1,000.
“We heard from young people across the country that this winter’s nasty weather interfered with their production schedules,” said Michael Scippa, Marin Institute’s public affairs director. “So we’re giving them 3 more days to enter their counter-beer-ads.”
Marin Institute called in Nov. 2010 for brief, (under a minute) original, anti-beer ads (music, dance, rap or spoken word) from contestants 10 to 20 years old.
The contest provides a forum for young people to use “performance art” to tell Big Alcohol, Media, and NFL executives, “Stop Exploiting Us With Your Beer Ads,” said Scippa.
Submission details are available at FreeTheBowl.com.
