Christians ’Just Pray No’

If you are struggling with an addiction and felt particularly uplifted last weekend, it could be because Christians worldwide were praying for your recovery.

The Christian Post reported April 10 that the 20th annual “Just Pray NO!” campaign urged believers to “put on the full armor of God and fervently pray in spirit and in truth” for the “release of those bound by substance abuse” as well as those addicted to pornography and gambling.

“Not only is substance abuse America’s number one health problem, the devastation of alcoholism and other drug addiction has impacted families and communities worldwide,” the organizers noted. “Substance abuse has been directly linked to violence and sexual immorality and is a major source of income for organized crime and terrorist activities.”
